Just one of the things I love about this venue is that the bride gets to arrive at the ceremony by travelling across the lake in style on the barge, with plenty of time to fortify the bride’s nerves with some bubbly and build the anticipation of the waiting guests Everything about this day was perfect, even the overcast skies that made for beautiful soft light that complimented the lovely pastel décor of the venue. Tarryn and Matt were more than great to work with – we had so much fun during the shoot, despite the drizzle that moved in….the great thing about cooler weather is that cuddling up close for the shot is no problem at all!

Siobhan & Phil–Backsberg, 19 March 2011
Every season there is at least one wedding dress that really stands out in my mind, and Siobhan’s satin sheath was the one this year….. absolutely gorgeous, flattering and elegant…she brought the dress with her from Ireland, where she lives and works and met her man, Phil. I loved the story of how they met – Phil took her in as a flatmate, despite the fact that she met none of his preconceived notions of the ideal candidate – except for her refreshing honesty! Good thing he made the right decision, because this couple are clearly perfect for each other. Guests from all parts of the world came to join the celebrations here in Cape Town’s winelands, and the couple wanted to be sure to have plenty of coverage of the people who shared their day. Thank you both so much, I know being in front of the camera is not your favorite thing, but you were fantastic and made my job so very easy!! I’m starting the post with one of may favourite pics of the day…..
